I've been a bit stuck in my writing as I sorted out some things.
But The Ardent Reader blog was one of the best personal projects I've ever taken on, and I'm proud of it.
The reason I haven't posted...
A lot of the books I've read have been about personal issues - mental health, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and recovery from PTSD.
Not exactly books I wanted to review for a public audience.
But I think it's time to get this blog going again, if only to remind you that reading is one of the best skills you can cultivate to change your life for the better.
Life is a struggle, and it will always be.
But gathering wisdom from others who have been there - that will help you move on.
Reading books, especially self-help books, helped me to fill in the gaps where my upbringing failed me.
Every page I turn is an opportunity to do more, be more, and accomplish my goals.
The library is truly a sacred place, and for me, a path to enlightenment.
I look forward to talking with you again, and welcome feedback on my writing, as always, via email.
Reading is the best thing you can do for yourself.
Keep it up!
With love,
Esther
